I have to be honest… back before my surgery in 2011, sometimes I didn’t realize just how fortunate I was. It’s sometimes hard to see how truly blessed we are until we are put to the test.
Maybe you’ve experienced something like this.
I’ve been put to the test… and through that test I believe one of the important lessons that I learned was that I maintained an attitude of appreciation.
An attitude of appreciation for the challenge in front of me.
An attitude of appreciation for the nurses, doctors and caregivers who supported me and my family.
An attitude of appreciation that I was even a candidate for surgery.
Many patients who are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer do not have that option…
